The veterinary assistant will facilitate patient/client movement from their arrival for their visit through their departure.
This will include greeting, weighing, placing in exam rooms, physical assistance of the veterinarian in handling of the patient, preparation of vaccines, medications, assistance with diagnostic procedures such as blood-drawing, x-rays, ultrasound, and sedation.
We clean our facility daily, and the assistant is important in this process as well.

While we will certainly train the chosen applicant, specific knowledge of restraint methods, blood-drawing, catheter placement, x-ray positioning and procedures, basic laboratory functions of setting up fecal and urine samples, staining of slides, processing blood and tissue samples will improve one's likelihood of being selected for this position.
Starting wage would be dependent upon skill level, beginning at $16 per hour.
Full time in our practice ranges from 30-40 hours per week.
Support staff is expected to work every other weekend (Saturday 8-12:
30 usually).
