Yard Spotter - Overnight

Overnight Shift: 10:30 P.M. to 7:00 A.M.


Day-to-Day Role:

  • Operate┬ shuttle to move trailers from staging area to loading docks as necessary and vice versa.

  • Position┬ "outbound" and "inbound" trailers.

  • Perform┬ daily maintenance checks of shuttle-truck and trailers and reporting any malfunctions to garage.

  • Complete┬ duties on spotter cleaning checklist.

  • Assist with loading and sweeping duties on the shipping dock.

  • Deliver in the city┬ as necessary.

  • Deliver┬ backhauls as necessary.

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.


Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • Two (2) years previous tractor trailer driving experience

  • CDL License class A.

  • Good driving record.

  • Ability to┬ meet physical qualifications established by┬ Department of Transportation.

  • Ability to utilize maps, dock plates/leveler,hand carts, hydraulic and manual pallet jacks and various hand tools.

  • Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
