Project Engineering Manager

A Project Engineering Manager job in Aurora, IL is available with Belcan.
The Project Engineering Manager will provide world class customer service to our internal and external customers by coordinating all activities associated with the Engineering, Design and Project Management group for the Architectural and Industrial Market sectors. This will include all activities related to effectively managing the daily priorities of the group as well as overall project management responsibility for select high visibility projects from kick off to customer sign-off
Key Job Responsibilities:
Will be assigned key projects to manage which includes the planning, scheduling, and controlling activities to fulfill identified objectives.
Provide the leadership to coordinate the efforts of the team and to make decisions to successfully complete projects on time, within scope, managing vendors, timescales, costs, margins and customer expectations to satisfy project requirements.
Prepares detailed project schedules, including identification of major milestones, for overseeing, controlling, communicating and managing all activities required to complete projects.
Need to manage projects to maintain and/or improve project profit margin.
Plan and direct the day to day activities for the engineering team including project engineers, designers, and drafters working on specific projects.
Ensures design team activity is customer focused, results orientated, performance driven and in compliance with all applicable internal and external requirements.
Manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of complex designs.
Working supervisor ready to roll up their sleeves to help out the team on designs as required.
Be available and responsive to answer queries from sales force regarding fundamental technical and integration capabilities.
Oversees product construction and testing in order to ensure completion of projects as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering is preferred. PE, ME or MBA is a plus but not required for consideration for this position.
5+ years experience working in a technical fast paced environment working with Engineers or a manufacturing company within the general contracting, construction management, noise control or power industries.
Knowledge with and experience utilizing ERP systems such as Visual, JDE or SAP is a plus.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Expert knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Project.
Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
Technical ability to learn a diverse product line.
Adherence to Contract management protocols like AIA Invoicing, certified payrolls, LEED submittals, Lien Releases, Insurance, Schedule of Values, OSHA, jobsite safety, etc.
Contract/Fabrication Drawing and Specification proficiency.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
